Creamy Spiced Breakfast Boost

A creamy, balanced way to start or end the day with a combination of proteins, fats, carbohydrates and a generous blend of warming spices to get the metabolism revved up for the day. Every ingredient was selected for the complementary benefits all the way down to the avocado, or banana, and blackstrap molasses for potassium. For best results, choose quality ingredients, including organic yogurt or kefir.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounce organic yogurt, or kefir
  • 4 tablespoon almond milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon collagen peptides, or hulled hemp seeds
  • 1/2 ea avocado, or banana
  • 1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil, or coconut manna
  • 2 teaspoon cacao, organic raw
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground spices such as ginger, cardamom, turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon black strap molasses

Cooking Instructions

1. Process all ingredients except almond milk in a blender until very smooth. Add almond milk until desired consistency. Ice may be added as well for added texture and cooling.

Serving Instructions

The smoothie is best when served immediately, though will last up to two days in the refrigerator.
